Our Logistics Department is tucked away
in the far reaches of the finished goods warehouse, so far
so that many people may only see the results of our hardworking
team's efforts. The Logistics Department is made up of 5 fun
and friendly folks whose experience and expertise help keep
COBE Cardiovascular's products moving smoothly through the supply chain pipeline.
Our goal is the seamless movement from the origin of the raw
materials overseas to the final delivery point of a hospital
or a perfusionist's office.
Kevin, the Logistics Manager, oversees the entire warehouse
operation from A to Z or Receiving to Shipping and all areas
in between. The Logistics Operations Manager, Steve, is responsible
for 3 off-site Distribution Centers as well as a broad range
of responsibilities including the day-to-day operations of
the rest of the Logistics Department. Cory, the Logistics
Coordinator and Tom, Inventory Operations Coordinator, ensure
that inventory is accurate, support the Distribution Centers
and work with carriers to prevent damage that may occur during
shipping. As Transportation Analyst, Martha's main focus is
the movement of freight in and out of the warehouse with an
emphasis on international freight and the Stöckert and Dideco
drop shipment programs.
The Logistics Department at COBE Cardiovascular offers many behind-the-scene
resources to better serve our customers. In order to insure
the speedy and accurate delivery of our vital products, COBE Cardiovascular has set up remote warehouses, or distribution centers, to
ensure that our products can reach the Customer's hands in
time for a life saving medical procedure. This can mean the
next business day or even the same day in the case of an emergency.
We have distribution centers in Puerto Rico, Baltimore which
serves the east coast, Atlanta, servicing the south and lastly
Dallas, servicing Texas and the southwest. The main facility
in Arvada supplies product to the West and the states surrounding
Colorado.
The current Logistics Team has been working together for
over 2 years and in that time has accomplished a great deal.
The "average shipping effectiveness from order entry to product
leaving the building on the same day" is 99%. By working diligently
with our DCs and our own shipping department, we have ensured
that shipping accuracy is at a stellar 99.76%. The Logistics
Team also works very closely with both our domestic and international
carriers for an impressive 99.63% in on-time shipments.
Looking forward, the Logistics Team will continue to find
ways to better service our Customers while keeping freight
costs low and "on-time" shipping high. We are proud of our
accomplishment but, of course, could not do them without the
support of the rest of COBE Cardiovascular. If you have any
questions or suggestions for us, don't hesitate to contact
Steve, Kevin, Tom, Cory, or Martha.
